    Vendor Services Section

    What we do:

    The Vendor Services Section is a One-Stop-Shop to guide vendors or potential vendors through the process of doing business with the County.  Staff from the Vendor Services Section is here to assist by providing information and support on how to apply for the many diverse programs offered.  Miami-Dade County has developed several programs to increase the participation of businesses on County contracts.  The Vendor Services Section is your starting point for:

    Vendor Registration and Vendor Enrollment assistance may be obtained through the Vendor Services Section.  Vendor Registration must be completed by all firms entering into a contract with the County. Vendor Enrollment is a simple on-line process that will provide your firm with email notification on upcoming business opportunities. 

    Business Enterprise Programs

    Business Enterprise Programs have several opportunities geared towards increasing participation of small business in Miami-Dade County contracts.  These include:

    • Community Business Enterprise (CBE) Program for Architecture, Engineering, Surveying and Mapping Professional Services.
    • Community Small Business Enterprise (CSBE) Program for construction services.
    • Small Business Enterprise (SBE) for goods and services.
    • Micro/Small Business Enterprise (ME/SBE) Program to foster small business participation in Miami-Dade County contracts.
    • Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) Federal program through Department of Transportation (DOT) intended to remedy past and current discrimination against Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, ensure a "level playing field" and foster equal opportunity in DOT contracts.

    Pre-Qualification Certification

    Pre-Qualification Certification for firms (offering professional services) that engage in the practice of architectural, engineering, landscape architecture, or land surveying and mapping.

    Technical Certification

    Technical Certification firms providing architectural, engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying and mapping, and/or design-build services (professional services) to Miami-Dade County must receive technical certification.

    Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Program

    Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Program provides contracting opportunities to businesses for contstruction projects not exceeding $2.5 million.

    Contract 7040 is set-aside solely for Community Small Business Enterprise firms certified by the Department of Procurement Management.

    Contract 7360 is a competitive bid which is open to all vendors.  This contract is typically used when projects are federally funded or a user department has exhausted its 7040 allocation. 

    Affirmative Action Plan

    Additionally, the Vendor Services Section is responsible for administering the County's Affirmative Action Plan. Guidelines are provided to assist applicants in properly completing and submitting their AAP application with Miami-Dade County.
