Loud Pets

The County's noise ordinance makes it unlawful for a person to make, continue, or cause any loud, excessive, unnecessary or unusual noise between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. in Miami-Dade County. In Miami-Dade the ordinance is enforced by the police; in Miami Beach, code enforcement agents enforce the ordinance. The ordinance, as it pertains to animals, states:

"The owning, harboring, possessing or keeping of any dog, animal or bird which causes frequent, habitual or long continued noise which is plainly audible at a distance of 100 feet from the building, structure or yard in which the dog, animal or bird is located. This ordinance is enforceable 24 hours a day."
