K-9 Unit

The Narcotic Canine Unit (NCU) is responsible for detecting and preventing the introduction of narcotics within and around the detention facilities with utilization of the Narcotics Detector Canine.  NCU conducts random searches at the various detention facilities at irregular intervals in order to comply with State laws. The NCU provides assistance with identifying proactive measures, which are necessary to prevent future introduction of narcotics into the departmental facilities by inmates, visitors, vendors, volunteers or employees.
