Who Must Apply
Any person providing immobilization services to immobilize a vehicle owned by another person which is parked on private property without permission or authority of the owner or duly authorized driver of that vehicle in Miami-Dade County.
When to Apply
Monday through Friday (except holidays) 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Initial applicants must apply in person. Renewal applicants can apply in person or by mail.
What to Submit
Completed application.
Permit Fee
CSD Fee ScheduleCash will not be accepted. Fees can be paid by check, money order or cashiers check made payable to the "Board of County Commissioners". If renewing in person, the renewal fee can be paid by credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Background Check
Initial applicants must complete a criminal background check and have two (2) passport photos taken as part of the application process. Information regarding these requirements will be provided when the application is submitted.
Incomplete Applications
If the application process is not completed within 60 days from the date that the application was filed with the Consumer Services Department, the application will be considered abandoned and closed and a new application and fee will be required.
Late Applications
A late fee will apply to renewal applications submitted after the expiration of the current registration. The late fee is in addition to the renewal fee.

Permit Changes
Changes in any material aspect of the vehicle immobilization permit shall be provided to the Consumer Services Department in writing along with proof of the change and the required fee, if replacement of the license is required, within thirty (30) days of the change.
Idenification
Upon successful completion of the application process, each vehicle immobilization permit holder must prominently wear identification stating the full name of the business and permit holder on the front left side of the shirt at all times when performing vehicle immobilization work.
