Who Must Renew
Any person(s) or corporation or other business entity that owns a multiple unit property, purchases water from the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department and provides remetering whose current registration is expiring.
When to Renew
At least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of current registration.
How to Apply
In person, Monday through Friday (except holidays) 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or by mail.
What to Bring
- Completed application
- Copy of bill format that meets the requirements of Section 8A-385(a) (3) f of the Miami-Dade County Code.
- Certificate of insurance
- Comparison report of Owner’s regular service charges from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department and charges billed to the Residents by the Owner for the same period of time.

Cash will not be accepted. Fees can be paid by check, money order or cashiers check made payable to the "Board of County Commissioners". If renewing in person, the renewal fee can be paid by credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Incomplete Applications
If the application process is not completed within sixty (60) days from the date that the application was filed with the Consumer Services Department, the application will be considered abandoned and closed and a new application and fee will be required.
Late Applications
A late fee will apply to renewal applications submitted after the expiration of the current registration. The late fee is in addition to the renewal fee.

Business Changes
Any change in ownership, address, telephone number, contact person or other information recorded on the registration application shall be reported to the Consumer Services Department in writing within ten (10) days of the change.
