"Green" Ways to Save on Energy Costs

Give your appliances a break this summer.

    * Keep appliances turned off when not in use; it helps cool down your house.
    * Air-drying your clothes is a way to minimize energy costs and reduce wear on your clothes.
    * Replace your light bulbs with energy-efficient ones as they easily pay for themselves over time.
    * Keep your thermostat at 78 degrees and don't forget to do regular maintenance on your A/C unit.
    * Turn off the ceiling fan when you leave the room.

Come back next week for more green ideas, and check out some more green tips.
