Adopt-a-Tree Partners

This program would not be possible without the involvement of the following organizations:

City of Doral
The City of Doral has partnered with Miami-Dade County for two years in a row (2009 and 2010) in sponsoring the Adopt-a-Tree Program. The City of Doral has greatly contributed to the success of the Adopt-a-Tree Program and was recognized as Tree City USA in 2008.

City of Homestead

Florida Power & Light (FPL)
An investor-owned Florida electricity / utility company, providing homes and businesses with electric power and energy services. FPL promotes energy conservation through tree plantings.

Miami-Dade Communications Department
Provides a link between Miami-Dade County government and its residents. The department is the communications arm of the County Manager's Office and the more than 60 county government departments and agencies.

Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension Service
Serves as a liaison between research conducted by scientists at the University of Florida and other universities and Miami-Dade County residents. The Extension Service provides information, outreach, and education for growers (agricultural and horticultural), homeowners, youth, people interested in family issues or food and nutrition, and marine industries.

Miami-Dade Environmental Resources Management
Miami-Dade County government agency working to restore, enhance, conserve, and manage the air, water and land resources of Miami-Dade County for the health, safety and enjoyment of South Florida residents and visitors.

Miami-Dade Park, Recreation & Open Spaces
Miami-Dade County government agency managing parks, recreation facilities and greenway areas and providing park and recreation services for South Florida residents and visitors.

Operation Green Leaves
A nonprofit organization working at the grassroots level in Haiti and within South Florida’s Haitian-American community to help create a sustainable environment and promote economic development, environmental education and awareness.

TREEmendous Miami
A nonprofit organization of volunteers working to build community pride by planting, protecting and preserving trees in Miami-Dade County. Volunteers hold tree plantings, tree maintenance and tree education programs.
