Paying Fees or Citations

This is the current Miami-Dade County Environmental Resources Management fee schedule, effective Oct. 1, 2010:

Payments may take the form of personal checks, money orders, credit cards (Visa and Mastercard only) or cash. All checks must have the following written on the check:

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Make checks payable to "Board of County Commissioners"
  • Any pertinent information such as permit number or account number

Paying fees in person

All payments can be made at the Cashier window on the 4th floor of the Main Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers should first obtain the necessary paperwork from the appropriate sections. This would include payment notification forms stating fees, permit numbers, etc.

Paying fees by mail

Payments can be mailed to Environmental Resources Management, but must be addressed to the proper section first, who will then forward it to the cashier.

Paying fees by phone

Payments by phone can also be done by Environmental Resources Management, but must also go through the proper section first and then they will transfer the call to the cashier.

Paying fees online

Currently, payments cannot be made online.

Paying uniform civil violation notices

Uniform Civil Violation Notices issued by an Environmental Resources Management Code Enforcement Officer are to be paid at 111 NW 1 Street, 17th floor. They may also be paid by phone at 305-375-2333 with an approved credit card. If permits and fees are owed in addition to the Uniform Civil Violation Notice payment, then the Uniform Civil Violation Notice is to be paid to the Clerk and the remaining payments are paid to Environmental Resources Management in the manner described.
