As Commissioner of District 13, I would like to welcome you to my website. Our District includes much of the City of Hialeah, the Town of Miami Lakes and some unincorporated areas such as Palm Springs North and Country Club of Miami. I hope you find these pages, along with the rest of the county website, useful and informative. And as always, I urge you to call my office with any questions, comments or concerns. I hope you take the time to look through Twenty Years of Service, which highlights my service and commitment to you the citizens of Miami-Dade County since 1993.

Commissioner Natacha Seijas to host "Back to School Immunizations" event
Commissioner Natacha Seijas, in conjunction with the Miami-Dade County Health Department, will offer FREE vaccines for children ages 2 months to 18 years on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Her "Back to School Immunizations" event will take place at Norman and Jean Reach Park, 7895 NW 176 Street, in Palm Springs North from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Commissioner Seijas is asking residents to be proactive this hurricane season and prepare a plan of action in the event of a major storm hitting South Florida. For information on essential supplies, shelters, and more, check out the commissioner's Hurricane Planning and Preparation Guide. Stay safe this hurricane season, which lasts from June 1 to November 30.
Commissioner Seijas represented Miami-Dade County at "Resilient Cities 2010," the first international conference on local climate adaptation. The commissioner and additional County personnel spoke about Miami-Dade's efforts to address climate change impacts and sought advice from leading experts on best practices.
Some drivers are unaware of Florida law, which states that drivers and pedestrians must yield the right-of-way to fire-rescue trucks, law enforcement cars, and other emergency vehicles using sirens and/or flashing lights.
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natacha Seijas welcomes India's Minister of External Affairs
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natacha Seijas, Chair of the Jay Malina International Trade Consortium (ITC), welcomed His Excellency S.M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Miami International Airport on his way to the Caribbean. Minister Krishna, who was accompanied by two members of his cabinet, flew into Miami from Washington D.C. where he attended President Obama's first State dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
