Technical Certification (TC)

Effective November 2009 the Technical Certification function became the responsibility of the Department of Procurement Management (DPM), under the Vendor Services Section.

Any firm interested in providing architectural, engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying and mapping, and/or design-build services (professional services) to Miami-Dade County must receive technical certification approval as a component of their Pre-Qualification Certification. The application is reviewed by the County's Technical Certification Committee and approves a firm's eligibility to provide professional services for various Technical Certification Categories . Technical certification must be established at the time of submittal to a Notice to Professional Consultants (NTPC), throughout the selection process, at time of award, and throughout the duration of the contract term without any lapses. A firm's Technical Certification is valid for two (2) years.

Technical Certification Reports
Technical Certification Reports lists all architectural, landscape architectural, engineering, or surveying and mapping services firms that have received technical certification approval.

Please note that an architectural and engineering firm may have technical certification but not necessarily be pre-qualified. Please see the Pre-Qualification Report  for a current list.

Technical Certification Committee
Certification meetings are generally held on a monthly basis at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Suite 1300, Conference Room B - 2:00 p.m.; Miami, Florida 33128. Consultants should refer to the Miami-Dade County Calendar for any changes.
