TITLE
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ALLOCATION OF DISTRICT 11 OFFICE FUNDS TO THE MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S HAMMOCK DISTRICT SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

BODY
WHEREAS, this Board desires to allocate $2,000.00 to the Miami-Dade Police Department's Hammock District Summer Basketball League; and
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade Police Department's Hammock District Summer Basketball League is a youth summer program founded by the Miami-Dade Police Department; and
WHEREAS, over 155 youths from over six different middle schools participate in this eight week summer program; and
WHEREAS, the objective of this program is to reduce youth crime and ensure better police community relations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board approves the allocation of District 11 Office Funds as follows: $2,000.00 to the Miami-Dade Police Department's Hammock District Summer Basketball League.
