TITLE
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE JULY 4, 2010 “JULY 4TH CELEBRATION” SPONSORED BY THE PERRINE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE UNSPENT BALANCE OF THE DISTRICT 8 FY 2008-09 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, Perrine Baseball and Softball Association, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Police Department for the July 4, 2010 “July 4th Celebration” in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the event is to celebrate the 4th of July and raise funds for the Perrine Baseball and Softball Association; and
WHEREAS, Perrine Baseball and Softball Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the “July 4th Celebration” is a district event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $10,000.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the unspent balance of the District 8 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Police Department for the July 4, 2010 “July 4th Celebration” in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 to be funded from the unspent balance of the District 8 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Fund.
