CBO Funding

Miami-Dade County provides funding to Community-Based Organizations based on a set of social service priorities. In 2008 responsibility for CBO Funding allocations was returned to the County, under the oversight of the CBO Advisory Board.

Environmental Education Services Community-Based Organization Funding Request For Proposals (RFP) NO. 1012

Miami-Dade County is solicited proposals from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations, for the provision of environmental education services for Miami-Dade County residents. 

Grant Writing and Technical Assistance Workshops for Community and Faith-Based Organizations

Commissioner Audrey Edmonson hosted two Grant Writing and Technical Assistance Workshops for Community and Faith-Based Organizations on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Joseph Caleb Center.  The morning targeted new and emerging CBOs and FBOs with a focus on Building Capacity and Applying for Grants. The afternoon Session targeted established CBOs and FBOs with a focus on Grant Writing and Grant Management. Materials from these workshops are now available for download.

2012 Mom and Pop Small Business Grants Available Soon!

The 2012 Mom and Pop Small Business Grants Program will begin accepting applications in January.  Exact dates vary according to Commission District.

The Addiction Services Board assembled a panel of experts to present “Prescription Drug Abuse: Multiple Perspectives on a Fatal Epidemic” at the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association/Florida Council for Community Mental Health 2010 Annual Conference.
