Schedule Update! CAA/North Club has added December Session – A new session has been added to the CAA/North Club for December 13th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to accomodate first-time homebuyers living in North Miami-Dade.  This will allow interested homebuyers who are trying tro close before the end of the year obtain their homebuyer certificate without traveling to South Miami-Dade to attend the 1 Day Homebuyer Workshop scheduled for December 10th, Flyer, November Registration Form, 2011 Homebuyer Schedule.

One Day English Language Homebuyer WorkshopMiami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation, Inc., will offer a 1-Day English Language first-time homebuyers workshop on Dec. 10, 2011, from 10am to 5pm. The workshop will be held at Martin Memorial AME Church, 14700 Lincoln Blvd., Richmond Heights. This workshop covers the 8-hour curriculum for first-time homebuyers and requires a $50.00 registration fee which covers one person or a married couple and is payable in advance or the day of the class (money order only). This workshop is open to the public and is taught by Miami-Dade County housing professionals. Since credit is the biggest obstacle to qualifying for a mortgage, the Workshop subjects include budgeting, credit issues, the loan process, shopping for a home, homeowners insurance, home inspections, appraisals and the closing process.  You will receive a certificate of completion after attending the full day.

Homebuyers Club: Once you register for the homebuyers workshop you will be advised to join our Homebuyers Club. Upon submitting the clubs pre-qualification application and payment you will receive a tri-merged credit report, one-on-one counseling session (by appointment only), and an affordability analysis to determine your maximum purchase price and the programs for which you may be eligible.

Pre-qualification Application Processing: Miami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation, Inc. offers pre-qualification credit screening. For a fee of $45.00, you will become an active member in our Homebuyers Club, receive a tri-merged credit report which includes application processing, and free one-on-one counseling services. This will allow you to find out how much buying power you have and what subsidy programs you may qualify for. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. County funds are first come first served so act now!
Resource Guide Advertising

You can now advertise in our homebuyer education workbook and showcase your business to potential homebuyers. By placing your choice of one line, business card, quarter page, half page or full page advertisement, your organization will be listed alphabetically by business type. The workbooks will be printed in lots of 100 several times per year. Each time the workbook is reprinted you will need to repurchase your ads. This will also allow new companies to advertise.
