Proposed Budget public meetings

On Monday, Aug. 8, eight Proposed Budget public meetings will take place simultaneously across Miami-Dade County from 6 to 8 p.m. Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez will also host two social media budget sessions on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

About Our Mayor

Carlos A. Gimenez was elected as Miami-Dade County's Mayor on June 28, 2011. Prior to this election, Mayor Gimenez served on the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners for seven years.

Statement from Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez on the Commission's approval of Transportation Network Entities in Miami-Dade County

Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Miami Beckham United. The document confirms the group's intention to negotiate the purchasing of land owned by Miami-Dade County, located on NW 6th Street and NW 6th Avenue near downtown Miami. 

Employ Miami-Dade: Making a difference in our community

Mayor Gimenez has partnered with the business community along with CareerSource South Florida, the Neighbors and Neighbors Association, Associated Builders & Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter and the Circle of Brotherhood, to help put Miami-Dade County residents to work.

Climate Change & Sea Level Rise

Florida is considered one of the most vulnerable areas to climate change, with Southeast Florida especially susceptible to impacts such as rising sea levels. Miami-Dade County has been on the forefront of these issues for many years.
