| The Municipal Grant Program (MGP) is designed to
encourage Miami-Dade County municipalities to participate in a
competitive program for funding their transportation planning
needs. Studies selected from the previous year, as well funding
available for current year are shown in Objective D, Element
4.13 of the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP).
PROJECT SELECTION
The selection process is based on a competitive basis using
the following criteria:
- Level of service benefits.
- Impact of mobility/traffic circulation gains.
- Intermodal nature of proposal.
- Support of the countywide activities of the
UPWP.
- Consistency with the applicant's local comprehensive
plans.
- The level of funding available for this program is
$150,000 which require a 20% minimum local match.
MGP STEERING COMMITTEE
A Municipal Grant Program Steering Committee was established
by the Transportation Planning
Council (TPC) to evaluate each proposal and forward their
recommendations to TPC for
approval.
This subcommittee consists of twelve voting members from the
following entities:
