    Turkey Point Siren Test

    On Friday, June 3, 2011, from approximately 12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. the Department of Emergency Management in conjunction with Florida Power and Light (FPL) will test the siren warning system around the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant.

    The siren test is a mandatory test that occurs on the first Friday of every March, June, September and December.
    Residents that hear sirens sounding during this time should understand that this is a test and only a test.

    Please refer to the Safety Information Guide mailed to all FPL customers. If you would like to receive one of these guides please call FPL customer service at 305-442-8770 or log on to the Nuclear Safety Section of the FPL Web site.
