Come and explore one of Miami-Dade County Park's hidden treasures, Camp Owaissa Bauer, special activity area of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, is designed for group camping and is located near Homestead, Florida. It is complete with buildings and facilities to accommodate a total of 160 campers for overnight and extended period camping. The camp is available to organized groups up to one (1) year in advance by contacting the Camp Manager's office.
There are two basketball courts, two volleyball courts and a large athletic field. Large air conditioned dining hall, fully functional kitchen, bath house and recreation patio are also included. Various camp activities that can be arranged in advance for an additional fee include campfires, hayrides and pool rentals.
Camp Owaissa Bauer is more than just a campground. It is the ideal place for group retreats, camps, family reunions, scout retreats, school field trips, meetings, weddings and/or receptions, kid's parties, pool parties and more!
Advanced reservations are required.
Rates
Daily rental $550.00. Minimum day rental is 5 hours. $110.00 for each additional hour.
Party Day Rentals start at $100 for 2 hours.
Overnight $550.00/per night. There is a four (4) cabin minimum rental.
The minimum for one-night rental is $2,200.
The four designated cabins sleep a total of 100 campers.
There are two additional cabins that sleep 25 each that may be rented for the cost of $450.00 per night.

Amenities
- 4 air conditioned dormitory-style cabins that can sleep 100 people. Bunk beds with vinyl-covered mattresses, restroom located in each cabin.
- 2 non-air conditioned cabins that can sleep an additional 50 people.
- 3 separate air conditioned quarters that can sleep 10 people.
- Bath house with separate men's & women's and ADA accessible showers.
- Large air conditioned dining hall with fully equipped kitchen.
- Meeting/arts & crafts room.
- Recreation patio with ping-pong tables and benches.
- Large (35'x75', 3'-8' depth) swimming pool , basketball courts, volleyball courts, softball field.
- Hayrides and Campfires
- Various staff-lead nature programs (additional fees apply)
