The name "Deering Estate Way" stems from the historic property, the Deering Estate at Cutler, located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue.
The Resolution for the addition of the "Deering Estate Way" signage was voted on and approved by the Palmetto Bay Village Council on April 12, 2010. The Resolution was sponsored by Howard J. Tendrich, Councilmember for District 2 of the Village.
The Deering Estate at Cutler is very pleased that the Palmetto Bay Village Council has chosen to honor the Deering Estate by co-designating SW 168th Street in this way.
