Maria Nardi appointed as Parks director, effective August 1

On July 6, Mayor Carlos Gimenez appointed Maria I. Nardi as the director of Parks, effective August 1. Nardi holds a master's degree in landscape architecture from Harvard University. Nardi joined Parks in 2004, where she oversaw the Parks Open Space System Master Plan.

No flotation devices are allowed on our beaches. We want everyone to enjoy our waters. Following this park rule helps to keep everyone safe. It also helps us to be good stewards of the environment as well as protect our natural areas.
