Enjoy Rock, Funk, Rhythm & Blues at the Deering Estate's Labor Day Blues Picnic

Enjoy great food & musical entertainment on Sunday, September 5th at the Deering Estate.


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Enjoy great food and musical entertainment featuring the Blackstar Blues Band on Sunday, September 5th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Deering Estate's Labor Day Blues Picnic. The main gate opens at 10:00 am and entertainment begins at 11:00 am. The Estate will close at 5:00 pm. Guided tours of the historic Richmond Cottage and grand Stone House will be held at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm.

The cost, including a picnic lunch, is $30 for adults & $20 for kids. The menu includes your choice of: Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken, or a Grilled Hot Dog. Side dishes include: Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, Garden Salad, & Chips. Food will be provided by the Mango Café at Fruit & Spice Park.

Guests can also bring a picnic basket, with their own food, and the cost for general admission is $15 for adults & $10 for kids. Tickets are available online for an additional fee. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Deering Estate Ticket Office at 305-235-1668 ext. 233.

About the Deering Estate at Cutler
The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily with admission to the Estate. EcoAdventure Tours are also offered throughout the year for an additional fee.
