New Internship Program Launches in Summer/Fall 2007
In collaboration with New World School of the Arts, a new internship program coined Becoming a Public Artist is currently being developed and will be implemented in Summer 2007. This program will allow emerging artists and college level art students to participate in the creation of public art.  These young artists will be selected to serve as a team member with a professional public artist who has been commissioned by our agency. Acting as an apprentice, they will be guided through contract development, working collaboratively with the construction project architects and general contractor teams as well as putting together their own team of architectural consultants and contractors for the larger scale public art projects.
