Department of Transportation and Public Works to host SMART Plan South Corridor public meeting
The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) will host a meeting to introduce the public to the South Corridor Rapid Transit Project today, May 31, 2017, at 6 p.m. The South Corridor (along the South Dade Transitway from SW 344 St. on the south to the Dadeland South Metrorail Station on the north) is being studied as a part of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, which has identified the development of six rapid transit corridors that will directly support the mobility of our future population and employment growth.
The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Dade Regional Library Auditorium, 10750 SW 211 St., Cutler Bay, Florida 33189. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m., with a formal presentation on the purpose of the project starting at 6:30 p.m. DTPW representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
