The Department of Transportation and Public Works will host two public workshops on the South Corridor Rapid Transit Project

MIAMI (October 20, 2017)

The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) will host two interactive workshops for the South Corridor Rapid Transit Project. The South Corridor will connect the South Dade Transitway from SW 344th Street to the Dadeland South Metrorail Station, and it is one of the six Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan corridors being evaluated to assess and meet the travel and mobility needs of the County.

The workshops will be conducted as an open house, allowing the public to arrive at any time between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will take approximately 15-30 minutes to visit eight information stations, which will be available with the same setup at both workshops. The workshops will be held on the following dates and locations:

  • Monday, October 23, 2017: The Falls Mall (Center Court) 8888 SW 136th Street, Miami, FL 33176
  • Wednesday, October 25, 2017: Southland Mall (Fountain Area) 20505 S Dixie Highway, Cutler Bay, FL 33189
