EASY Card
The EASY Card is a durable plastic reloadable fare card. It is part of Miami-Dade Transit's automated fare collection system. Fareboxes with "smart card" technology are installed on buses and fare gates at all Metrorail stations.
Visitors and people who are not daily commuters can take advantage of the EASY Ticket. It works like the EASY Card, but expires after 60 days and is made of paper.
To ride Metrorail, you must use an EASY Card or EASY Ticket as the faregates do not accept cash. Metrobus fareboxes still accept cash, and you can pay using dollar bills, quarters, dimes, and nickels.
NOTE: Each customer is required to have their own EASY Card/EASY Ticket to use the Metrobus and Metrorail system. It is not possible to "pass back" an EASY Card/Ticket among various people and deduct multiple trips for multiple riders.
Is your EASY Card about to expire? Check your EASY Card expiration date.
