Patriot Passport
Who is Eligible?
All honorably discharged veterans who are permanent residents of Miami-Dade and whose annual income is $22,000 or less are eligible to ride transit free with the Patriot Passport EASY Card. The Patriot Passport expires annually.
How to Apply
When applying for the Patriot Passport you must complete the Patriot Passport EASY Card Application- Proof of income *
- Employer's check stub
- Proof of veteran's benefits
- Income Tax W2 wages statement
- Voter's registration card
- Utility bill or VA verification letter as proof of residency
- Current valid Florida ID or driver's license *
- DD214 or VA 1010 form as proof of an honorable discharge
*Proof of income and a valid Florida ID or Florida driver's license must be provided annually to receive the card by June 30th each year.
Register at the Transit Service Center and receive your Patriot Passport immediately.
A new application requires that a picture of the patron be taken at the MDT Transit Service Center or a 3-1-1 Service Center for placement on the newly issued EASY Card.

Transit staff will also provide on-site registration for groups of 10 or more applicants. For more information, call 786-469-5028 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Patriot Passport EASY Cards
If your Patriot Passport EASY Card is lost or stolen, report it by calling 311. You can get your lost, stolen or damaged EASY Card replaced at any of the Transit Service Centers by completing the EASY Card Replacement FormAlso, you can call 786-469-5028 (TDD/TTY Number 305-468-5402) to request an application be mailed to you for any of MDT's discount programs.
Assistance to complete the application, personal information section, is provided at the time the application is submitted to the Transit Service Center, if needed.
The Discount Fare EASY Card, Golden Passport EASY Card, Patriot Passport EASY Card and STS EASY Card have a photo of the patron. This means that the card can only be used by the person whose photo appears on the card.
