Personal Care Attendant
A Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is someone designated to help the eligible STS user in his/her personal needs. No fare is charged to the PCA. One companion (including children, regardless of age) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) may ride with a certified passenger, provided both are picked up and dropped off at the same address.PCAs can continue to ride Transit (bus or rail) with STS customers. The PCA does not need to show an EASY Card or Ticket as long as the STS rider's EASY Card indicates a "PCA" traveler on the back.
STS Certified riders travel for FREE on Metrobus and Metrorail when they use their valid STS EASY Card.
Special Needs & Emergency Evacuation Assistance Program
Miami-Dade residents who require daily skilled nursing care, assistance with daily living, or have life-saving medical equipment dependent on electricity should register for the Special Needs & Emergency Evacuation Assistance Program for transportation and/or shelter assistance in case of hurricanes or other disasters.Confirmation and cancellation
The Paratransit Trip Confirmation and Cancellation service allows STS riders to confirm and cancel trips online. This option is an alternative to calling the Customer Services line. Paratransit riders are not required to use this new online service to confirm and cancel trips.
